About FulLife
Jesus Christ: “My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.”
After growing up in the church, having numerous experiences leading in youth ministry or small groups, and being a speaker for Sunday morning worship services, I have discovered one thing: “Religion” needs to be assassinated! I’m tired of hearing useless rhetoric spouted from the pulpit. I’m fed up with congregations who boast of their friendliness and yet refuse to dive into deep conversations with one another. And I can’t stand to watch another heart be broken by the gossip and trite conflicts that should have no place among God’s people.
But can I tell you something? I’m still desperately in love with my God! And quitting is not an option. Someone once wrote, “Sooner or later anyone who loves the church becomes a wounded lover, because the sins of the church have a way of scarring our affections.” That’s me… a wounded lover. A lover who has committed herself to serving God with everything she has.
That means embracing the hurt and pain to emerge as a stronger, purer worshiper. It means thinking outside of the box and looking at things from His perspective instead of my own – looking at the BIG picture, giving up my selfish or idealistic tendencies and surrendering to Him.
It’s a revolutionary way of life.
I long to walk alongside others as they confront the daily challenges of what it means to be a Christ-follower. Jesus came to “give life in all its fullness”, my friends. It’s time we take Him at His Word and allow Him to lead us to a life beyond our imaginations. Will you join me?
